Really?!?

Holy crap. Is this really my life?!?!? Sure it is, but wow, sometimes it feels like it's happening to somebody else.

I am thankful we survived the flooding with minimal damage. It rained through the roof in a couple of places and had some seepage in the basement. *That* I can live with! The insanity is mostly over, most of the roads are open, and now the job of clean up begins. I have some great pictures on my camera, but you know, that cord has gone missing. Shocker! Most cords in this house go missing. I have a bunch of ones that don't fit anything, though. So, if you're ever in need of a cord..... check my stash!

Here's my lasted finished project. I made Dee boots to wear on the bus on the way home from swim meets. She *LOVES* them. All is fantastic, right? Absolutely, except, she now wants a pair in a more neutral color to wear at school. In fact, hold on to your seat. Wait for it. Wait for it......Katie wants a pair, too! YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She rarely wants me to make her anything. I'm so excited....and so short on time!

Meanwhile, on the needles, is a tank from the ribbon yarn I brought home from the show. I started one pattern, but found it too fussy. I was cranky when I was knitting it, so that got frogged. I'm now knitting up and old standby of mine from a few years ago....it's the cabled tank from straw.com. I made 3 of these a few years ago, and dearly love them. Why a tank going into the dead of winter? It makes perfect sense to me! LOL. I layer. One must need a bottom layer! I also have the silk from there which I hope to turn into a 3/4 length sleeved cardigan. That will go over the tank. Can't wait. Can't knit fast enough.

A week from tomorrow, I start school again. I'm excited. I'm ready to get this ball rolling! Grad school 101 was Saturday. Can I just say that I love that place?!? i want to roll in it people! We did a lot of mind work on Saturday. I learned a lot, but filled my already stuffed head. Commence spinning!

Jeff's travel schedule is picking up, which means back to life as I know it. Having him home is nice, but let's face it, I'm well versed in the on the road lifestyle.

All is good!
