I decided to knit PJs for the Stitches PJ party, so I did just that. I have LOST MY MIND!!! It took a lot of hours, but it was worth it in the end. I finished tucking in the ends a mere 2 hours before the party began. HEY. NO SAFETY PINS REQUIRED. All is good.
I had a fanTABulous time. Wow, wow, wow. I'm just now catching up on my sleep. I came home with some serious sway from Tess' Designer Yarns. And then I realize *THAT* picture is still on my phone. UGH!!!! I'll post it another time. I am in absolute love with the microfiber ribbon yarn I came home with in shades of charcoal and the 100% silk yarn in raspberry. It's not that raw silk that feels scratchy, it feels like....buttah!!! LOL. I cannot tell you how soft it feels. A shade under cashmere, maybe? Yes, I did consider bringing that home, but I made myself pick something that could be made into something. As much as I like a good hank of yarn to pet.......I resisted. Who says I don't have any self control? :D.
The pace around here is staying in the red zone. Swim season has begun. Our first home meet is this week. I *only* need to make up a price list, turn in my receipts and check all the other signs to see what I need to replace for this year AND see if there's still Chuck A Duck forms. Hey, that's at the end of the week. I still have a few days to procrastinate. This year, the coach found two standing lockers I can use to store things. My job tomorrow is to clean off the shelves that have been used for the past several years and find a way to organize the locker. The more stuff I can fit in the locker, THE LESS I HAVE TO CARRY BACK AND FORTH. We ALL know that's a good thing. I am not overly fond of back pain!!!!! Katie was a great help last year and saved me. I cannot count on her kindness FOREVER, you know!
Okay. time to go eat dinner and KNIT MORE STUFF!!!! I'm currently making a pair of felted wool boots. The first pair is for Dee on the bus on the way home from meets. Swim season takes her to all all time cold, ALL. OF. THE. TIME. You can just imagine how it is on a bus after being in cold water for several hours...... I have the yarn to make a pair for myself as well. Katie's still trying to decide if she wants any. We'll see. Never a dull moment around here, and if it is, it's out of INDECISION!
Live it like you LOVE it. Why not? This IS the only go 'round, ya know!
