Busy doesn't even cover it

Wow. I'm not even sure how to begin.

School ball season is over, club has begun. The traveling all over the lower half of the state soon begins. Knitting projects are ready to tote and get dusty. Hope all this great weather holds. Spring ball and I do not get along. Note to self: put good chairs in trunk!!!!

Swim club has also begun, the traveling all over the lower half of the state soon begins. :D Note: Most of the weekend dates do intersect, however, locations do not. Figures. My car does still remember how to get to the pool. Imagine that. Camps kick in soon, and I don't think any of us are ready. Of course, the WASHING MACHINE would have to be working for a lot of the prep work to occur. Again, big surprise.

Speaking of the washing machine, I am amazed at how well we are doing at choosing what to wear, knowing that nobody wants a repeat trip to the laundry mat. I am also going to cry when i realize how much stuff needs to be washed. This may be the biggest ever backlog. Good thing everybody knows how to use both machines as it will take a family to wash/dry/fold us out of this hole.

Uncle Sam has kept me hopping and popping. I'm not getting lots of hours, but the times are broken up into 2 - 3 segments. We all know that my life needs more stopping and starting. I'm enjoying the job. I love the people on my crew that I have met. What a fantastic group of ladies. Special Kudos to my crew leader. I think I've met the most tenderhearted woman on this planet. When I was in training, I was worried about not having my trainer, and who I was going to get as my boss. Talk about needless worrying. I couldn't have drawn a better straw.

I ripped a stitch in the sassy skirt yesterday. Shit. That means I'll be pulling her out 2/3 of the way again and reknitting. I have ideas for improvement, so that helps. I really do like how this skirt looks and feels or I wouldn't bother! I'm also working on a black one. Progress on that one is SLOW due to the tight gauge. (thinner yarn, more stitches, LOTS more time) I'd really like to get that one done (she still remains nameless - yep, taking suggestions) before I leave to take Dee to the Mizzou camp.

In 2 weeks, I'll have one gone at camp and a visitor. I sure hope this house decides to clean itself, cos I have no idea how it's going to get done. Actually, I'm sure it won't get all the way done. I've looked at my calendar. It's stock full ---- til the end of July. At least I'm not going to be BORED this summer. Farthest thing from it, actually.

I've met my whopping goals today. It was procrastination paperwork day. I've paid bills and filled out more forms than I care to remember. Tomorrow I have to remember to go to the post office. I also have plenty of Census work to do. Never mind the regularly scheduled stuff! YEAH!!! LOL.

Damn, I'm exhausted just remembering all of that. I think it's time to go knit. If I don't rest up today, who knows when the next break will come.

Will be back, someday

Things have gotten too complicated to even begin posting. This is no longer an outlet so I can see what I am thinking and feeling...because I feel like I have to monitor what I say. I'll be back when I'm more objective. Thanks all.

Not much to say this week

Katie had a good birthday, therefore the week is a success, right? YEP!

I didn't get anywhere near what I wanted to get done accomplished, but the most important objective was met. She had a good birthday. I worked 3 afternoons, went to some appts, ran all over kingdom come, had my hair and nails done AND I finished the stuff for Di. HOWEVER, in my excitement and rush to get to the post office before 5, I forgot to take a picture of the finished project. Maybe I can convince her to do so when she opens the box. Here's to hoping she likes it. I hope it's as squishy and soft as she had imagined.

Now it's off to the next project. I can't decide if I'm ready to tackle that skirt again or if I want something smaller for some of my favorite instant gratification. We'll see. We're headed out to celebrate Mother's Day weekend. I get to spend it with my MOM!!!! YIPPEE!!!!! I'm one lucky girl. Now, things will go oh so much better if I could just SLEEP. It's a quick trip for me, and long for her, but I'm so glad we're meeting up. What better way to spend a holiday than with those you love.

Love Always!

Just for Ruth

Here's the shoes I was talking about. Click on that sentence to take you to a brief description of them. I was lucky and paid a bit less. I'm sure I could have found them a bit cheaper if I'd hunt the internet for deals, but you know, sometimes I'll pay full price for the luxury of trying them on and bringing them home with me. If I remember correctly, the negative heel puts your foot at what would be similar to walking at a 3.7% incline. Let me tell you, I can feel the difference. I end up going slower and my legs are tired faster, which means a better work out in less time. Very helpful, especially on these high pollen windy days!!! I also love the excellent arch support found inside the shoes. Being the proud owner of some really crappy feet, a good arch support system is vital. The shoes are light as a feather, which really helps tolerating the incline increase!!!! I've read that others complain that they are not cushy enough. Okay, they aren't cushy at all, but somehow they've managed to reduce the impact, so I don't feel the pain going up my leg or into my knees. I totally give this pair of shoes a doube thumbs up. They are already right up there with my birki's. Now THAT is what I call high praise!
