It's May and time sure flies in May. katie had a good birthday, I had a good Mother's day, school softball ends tomorrow night, club swim season practice has begun and John's out with the golf team...so I'm doing a bit more subbing than usual. LOVE IT. Kind of. I miss some of the things that hit the wayside. Knitting, blogging, reading blogs being among the top of the list.
The house is as clean as it's going to get this week, the last of the sheets are in the washer and dryer, I have one more set of errands, and I have about an hour before there's more to do. Somehow I've got the closed captioning speaker guy on my computer on. I wonder how I did that. If I knew, I could shut him up! I also got a great new phone for Mother's Day, and I can't wait to figure out some more features. I can call, text and watch tv. Soon, I should have the internet surfing figured out.
Tomorrow is the last ALC downtown clean up. I'm hoping it doesn't rain. hopefully it'll go well. We'll see. I've worked some great ones and some miserable ones. (the 40 degrees and raining one hits the bottom of the list) We'll see. Then, it's all memories.
Hey. the sock. Do you like the sock? I think I do. I know it's just starting, but I'm getting pretty excited about it. I won this yarn from crystal palace......and I've started several different patterns. So far, so good on this one. We'll see. I'm also doing the heart throb ss sweater. I hope to have it finished with pics to wear to work sometime next week. Next week is going to be a doozie.....I work 4 days, Jeff goes out of town, K has a concert, D has 3 practices and an ortho appt. YIKES!!!!! Naturally, this week has been cold, damp and windy (right now it's sunny, windy and 51)...and next week is going to be mid 70's. Oh well. I'll just have to make sure to get out of the building from time to time or take a walk at the end of the day.
Just wanted to say that I miss y'all and hope to be back soon! And when I get back, maybe (MAYYYYYBE) I'll have a project done to share and some veggies planted. That'd be cool. Hey! The grass seed is coming up in the back under all those trees. This might be the 2nd time since we've lived here that we've gotten grass to grow back there. Niiiiiice.
